The changes are from bug 679865.

These changes are for talos+xperf only and will not affect performance numbers since we are not executing these code paths.

This is the final patch for talos proper to run talos+xperf.  Once this is rolled out and the machiens have the tools installed, we can land a buildbot config patch to turn them on.
