Hello,

Firefox 5.0. Mac OS X 10.6.8.

The Downloads window says in its title "1 fichier" ("1 file"). I count 2 files.
See screen photo :

Please, Firefox, learn to count to 2.

Nicolas
In my FF6 on Win XP, there is no file count in the title bar of the Download manager when no downloads are in progress. Maybe the text is a bit odd and it wants to say that 1 file is downloading?
Can you check this?
Component: General → Download Manager
Product: Firefox → Toolkit
QA Contact: general → download.manager
Version: unspecified → 5 Branch
Like aceman said, the download manager counts the number of active downloads and not the number of overall downloads.
Considering comment1 and comment2, setting resolution to Resolved WFM.

If we consider correct that a window containing 2 file entries be named "1 file", then Firefox "works" correctly.

OK, then propose what the title should say. Remember it wants to say how many files are downloading. Do you also want to add the number of files already downloaded? Write the exact wording in the title that would be understandable to you (and all other users). We can then consider it an enhancement request.
I am fine with the window being always named "Téléchargements" ("Downloads"), with no info about its contents.
But I understand that some people prefer having the info about the contents. In this case, the info has to be correct, in order not to mislead the user. No info is better than wrong info. Currently the contents info is wrong and misleading. So how to write this info ?

Firstly, in "1 fichier - Téléchargements" ("1 file - Downloads"), let's switch "Downloads" and the file part, so that the title start with the essential part. Furthermore, I imagine that the file part is absent when the Downloads window is empty.
So the Downloads window will always start with the same beginning, so the user will easily find it in the various window lists offered by Firefox and by the OS. Even more easily when such list is alphabetically sorted.

Then, how to write the file part, taking Aceman's comment 5 into account ?
"2 fichiers dont 1 en cours"
Translated in English, what sounds the most natural :
"2 files including 1 in progress" or "2 files of which 1 in progress"

Not worth fixing, the new download panel doesn't have this problem.
