Details

My Firebug is currently sitting at 1.8.0b6. Checking for updates claims there are no updates available.
Which Firefox version are you using? Was this installed from AMO or from their website?
Firefox 9.0a1. How do I found out where an add-on was installed from?
You could look in the install.rdf file and see if there's an updateURL tag in it. You can also install an HTTP traffic analyzer like the Tamper Data extension and see the request sent and response received when you click on Check for Updates. This would give us a better idea of what's wrong.
Jeff, I assume you already got an update in the meantime? So, can we close this bug now?
