Details

Whilst we have a fair amount of documentation for individual components of Sync, we don't really have a doc that answers the holistic question "how does Sync (the whole system) work?". This is important for new contributors, for general public understanding, and for those whose opinions we solicit on topics.

This bug tracks the creation of this (likely sizable) doc.
We've made some strides on this, but I'm not actively working on more.
