User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 5.1; rv:8.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/8.0
Build ID: 20111006182035

Steps to reproduce:

I have an old version of Firefox Beta installed on my Galaxy Tab 7' (Froyo).
I have noticed that a new version of the application was available (via another application, not via the market).

Actual results:

The newest version of Firefox Beta won"t update as it is no more shown as compatible with the Galaxy Tab on the new version of the market (for a few weeks) with enhanced device compatibility checks.
I have checked this on the web version of the market (Firefox is not alone in that case, by the way :( ).

Expected results:

The update should have been executed.
By the way, I just have checked for the released version of Firefox on Android: it is not compatible with my Galaxy Tab 7 either.
Are you able to uninstall Firefox Beta and see it on the Android Market in order to do a clean reinstall?
OS: Windows XP → Android
Hardware: x86 → ARM
I could not reproduce this on my Verizon Galaxy Tab 7" (Android 2.2). I was able to find and install Firefox Beta 8.0 this morning using the Android Market app. This is with Market 3.0.27, which might be an older version.
Hello
No actually I'm trying to update FF Beta (the ChangelogDroid app tells me there is an update), but no update is shown in the market on the tablet.
Similarly, on my PC, on market.android.com, both Firefox and Firefox Beta are market as "not compatible with your Galaxy Tab 7''". So it is not only a matter of market application on the tablet, I suppose...
The exact model is GT-P1000, and it is a Tab provided by Orange in France. The only thing I changed on the device is the resolution of the screen by rooting the tablet.

I have the same problem with other apps, while the rest of the apps behave normally (for instance, AngryBirds has the issue while AngryBird Rio doesn't!)
All that is new, and I think it happened when the new market version was rolled out.

If someone with the same tablet as me make a test. Maybe the issue is not with Firefox at all, but with Google!!

Thanks :)
By the way, I have Market version 3.0.27 as well on the tablet.
@Aaron: I don't want to try to uninstall it because the market won't let me install it again :)

What happens if you put your Tab on wifi, and off the Orange carrier? Does Android Market show the option for Firefox Beta now?
Android market is no longer supported.
