69865 - Deleting few lines in message pane deletes the whole message

Buildid:  2001021909 win98,mac and linux

select any message
When the message is displayed in the message pane 
highlight few lines and 
press delete on the keyboard

Expected: delete just those line of text
Actual:  Delete the whole message

I checked this on the 6.01 rtm build and this bug still exists on 6.01 rtm.

Shouldn't you be able to only delete parts of a message when you're replying or
composing?

sorry. I meant the messages that you have already received and while viewing
this in the message pane and you highlight the text and hit delete on the
keyboard.

sorry for opening this bug.  I realize that when viewing the message it is not
in an edit mode and also the fact that the message pane is not an editor.
