Steps to reproduce:

Left chatzilla running in background.
FF 8.0
CZ 0.9.87


Actual results:

Got disconnected. 
According to the attached wireshark log, chatzilla stops sending PONG replies, until it gets disconnected.

(this problem started in an earlier version of FF (4 iirc), but I never found the time to create a clear capture)
