Navbar buttons are of a larger height in tabs with content, but when creating a new, blank tab, the buttons go back to the old normal size, but then grow again when the tab loads content. Screenshots attached.

Also for clarity, there are no extensions that alter the UI, although I do have firebug installed that has a toolbar button. Also, I use the switch in the UI to have tabs on botton, and the color differences are a UserChrome.css hack, not an extension. It only makes some backgrounds transparent rather than colored, no size/shape changes are in there.

I see this on Nightly too, looks like the url bar is changing height to me

This looks like bug 691100. Can you reproduce this in safe mode? (In reply to sdrocking from comment #3) > Duplicate of Bug 689079. Nope, that bug is about a 1px difference. This is different from what the screenshot shows.
