703049 - Thunderbird 8.0; Authentication fails on server pop3.live.com (Tried all troubleshoots.)

Steps to reproduce:

Logging in with correct password does not succeed. A alert says "Sending of password did not succeed. Mail server pop3.live.com responded: authentication failed"
Using the same password I was able to enter the same email through my browser with success. I tried logging into Thunderbird many, many times.


Actual results:

I was unable to log in to my account even with many trouble shoots on and off the Mozilla site. I even tried to get a answer on Mozillas Get Satisfaction website, here:

Expected results:

Log in with complete access of my email at [e-mail]

Can you try enabling POP3 logging?
Set these environment variables before starting Thunderbird:
set NSPR_LOG_MODULES=pop3:5	
set NSPR_LOG_FILE=c:/path/to/file/name (give path and name to file where you wish to write the log)

Are you able to access that mailbox using some web interface (webmail)? If it does have any.

No, that is something different.
On Windows, open the Command prompt, write those commands into it and run thunderbird from the command prompt (write something like C:\program files\thunderbird\thunderbird).
