707224 - Firefox doesn't import bookmarks from Safari

Relevant details:
- OSX 10.6(.8)
- Firefox 8.0.1
- Japanese locale
- Most bookmarks are under the bookmark bar in Safari (though i also tried to add bookmarks in the bookmark menu with no effect)
- A lot of the bookmarks title are in japanese, but some are in latin scripts, with or without diacritics (that is, some items title are pure ASCII, others not)

History was properly imported, but bookmarks were left completely empty.

In the end, I exported the bookmarks from Safari in html format, and imported into Firefox, which had the bad result of not "preserving" icons.

This is a very bad first impression for someone who has been satisfied with Safari for a while and wanted to try Firefox.

I assume this works considered the number of tests you did, and QA will be able to verify that.  Plus bugs can be reopened :)

I can confirm this is fixed on my wife's laptop, which originally had the problem I filed (and I checked that I could still reproduce with current release, just in case)
