Details

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Ubuntu; X11; Linux i686; rv:8.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/8.0
Build ID: 20111115184056

Steps to reproduce:

Followed a link to a phishing site, which has the domain name it's trying to spoof as the first 2 components of its subdomain, then several other long subdomain components.

Actual results:

The entire visible part of the URL in my web browser is displayed all in one colour.

Expected results:

The actual domain name should be displayed highlighted, but because the subdomain was so long part of the URL was scrolled off to the right and the actual domain name didn't fit in my URL bar
I've set the bug's URL to the phishing URL I encountered (which is now safe to click on; it gets displayed as a ‘Reported Web Forgery!’), so we have a realistic test case of Bug 451833's highlighting being subverted.
