Steps to reproduce:

I have tried starting in safemode, disabling all plugins, and creating a new profile. None of these have solved the problem. 


Actual results:

To open a link in a new tab, I middle click on the link using my middle mouse button on the scrollwheel. Instead of opening one new tab, two tabs open with the link that was clicked upon.


Expected results:

Only one tab should have opened.

Despite my inability to reproduce this issue in other programs previously, after using Chrome for a few hours today I have discovered this issue happens in Chrome as well. I am not sure why it did not replicate before.
