We'd like to prepare for our upcoming Facebook milestone of 7 million fans. William estimates that this will happen in a few weeks. We'd like to create a graphic to post when we reach 7 million. William would like something along the lines of what Sean did with the 6 million downloads. It was a logo with 6 million after it. So we'd like something similar, a logo and 7,000,000. Would it be appropriate to include a Facebook thumbs up image, so it's clear that it's 7,000,000 likes? - leave that to the designers. the image would have to be able to be posted appropriately on Facebook, and how FB resizes images. (Which I think you guys have now that we did all the brand posts in December.) We'd like to have this completed by January 16 if possible. Which should give us a little bit of leeway while we watch the numbers tick up.

Eek, fell behind on this. Rhonda is out today/tomorrow, but she can hopefully knock this out early next week when she is back. I believe Lee did the previous graphic, Carmen could you please post that here in the bug for reference? Lets keep the graphics consistent... Lee did some great ones for that milestone as well as the holiday ones.

(In reply to Tara (musingt) from comment #1) > Rhonda is out today/tomorrow, but she can hopefully knock this out early > next week when she is back. That timing sounds great. Looks like we're 3-4 weeks from passing 7 million fans, so we should be in good shape. Thanks Tara and Rhonda!

The message, "7,000,000 fans" reads finite to me. Can we add "...and counting!" or something that suggests/encourages fans to keep pushing that number up? Just my 2¢ :)

I like version 2 since there's no English text and we can post it to all our fans. I agree with Lee too - adding "...and counting!" would be nice to do for the English version, which we could post separately.

Agreed with Lee. It also feels a little incomplete or simply self congratulatory to me.... "7,000,000 fans" and that's it? how about a "thank you" or hurray! or something to give it an extra kick, make it personal, and turn it back to the community?

(In reply to William Reynolds [:williamr] from comment #11) > I like version 2 since there's no English text and we can post it to all our > fans. True, but I feel like it looks rather empty and plain (impersonal) with *just* a number.

I think we should add something extra for our English fans. I still like the idea of using version 2 (no English text, just 7,000,000) that we can post to non-English fans. It's not as personal, but it still allows us to reach out to them without needing localization. The majority of our fans don't speak English, so it's important we share milestones like this with them too. Using version 2 allows us to do this in a lightweight way that won't require more L10n or Creative time :)

OK. So it looks like we will have a non-english version which will be #2. Do we then also want the same version but add "7,000,000 fans. Hurray!" for the english version? :)--rhonda

Thanks Rhonda William, what about Lee's feedback about the "and more" "+" type of text so it doesn't feel like it's over at 7M ?

Thanks Rhonda! These look great. Small nit pick that I just noticed. Could we also get an EU version that has 7m with decimal points instead of commas (eg 7.000.000)? Several countries use decimal points [1], so it would be good to have that version as well. After that, we're good to close this!
