It is not possible to create symbols on Fedora 16 with gcc 4.6 due to bug 714129. Instead we can custom build gcc 4.5 using http://hg.mozilla.org/build/rpm-sources/file/08476e1d337f/gcc45 and reconfigure the build workers to use the installed gcc 4.5 compiler.
