716104 - Affiliates: Spinner keeps spinning

Per bug 710791, a throbber/spinner will be added to the browserID button on Affiliates to signify that user is authenticating on browserID. The spinner starts to spin with a click event on the browserID button on the homepage of affiliates.

Steps to cause issue:

1) Open Affiliates (after bug 710791 is on prod)
2) Click on the browserID button in en-US
3) Close window without authenticating

Actual: spinning for infinity

Expected: spinning until browserID pop JS up is closed.

Note: The spinner should not stop spinning when the browserID pop up normally closes after authentication, but only if the window is closed without authenticating. The infinitely spinning spinner can be confusing to users as it could indicate something is happening when in actuality no event can be triggered to remove the spinner.

Scientifically:

it would appear that the spinner is working in a closed-system with no external forces acting upon it as its angular momentum is being conserved and the velocity is constant i.e. Newton's first law of motion. Please and an external force to the spinner to remove the close-system scenario which will result in a negative acceleration change and velocity reduction.

I don't think we'll bother fixing this before the redesign (bug 945867), and I doubt we'll add a spinner in the redesign (I haven't seen any other sites that use spinners during Persona auth), so this is now WONTFIX.
