RESOLVED DUPLICATE of bug 278341

People

(Reporter: guettli.mozbug, Unassigned)

Details

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Ubuntu; Linux x86_64; rv:10.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/10.0
Build ID: 20120129141257

Steps to reproduce:

I read a text email message that include this:

user@example.com: foo text....

I run Ubuntu 11.10

Actual results:

The email address "user@example.com:" is blue and I can copy+paste it. But ":" is not valid in domain names. It should be not blue and not copied.

This email is a plain text email (not HTML). This happens if you read a mail.

Expected results:

user@example.com should be a mailto link, but without ":"

Confirmed here:
User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux i686; rv:10.0) Gecko/20120129 Thunderbird/10.0
Application Build ID: 20120129064000
text message saved as draft shows the same issue.
This does not happen for me in TB13, in a draft message saved for "send later". The ':' is not underlined.

This was fixed in bug 278341, should be in TB11.
