Crash Data

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux i686; rv:12.0a2) Gecko/20120219 Firefox/12.0a2
Build ID: 20120219042015

Steps to reproduce:

I typed in "backus naur form for English" in Google, pressed Enter, then clicked on the link which led me to http://math.hws.edu/javanotes/c9/s5.html . Immediately after loading the website, Firefox hung for a minute or two while showing, "Start: applet not initialized." in the tool tip in the bottom corner of the window. Then the tool tip said, "Applet started." at which point the browser was responsive to clicks and keyboard input. I clicked on the drop down menu for the search bar and clicked on the Wikipedia search engine, which changed the search engine from Google to Wikipedia. I typed "English language" into Wikipedia's search box and pressed Enter, which led me to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/English_language . I read that page for a few minutes. I typed "Linguistics" into Wikipedia's search box and then pressed Enter. That brought me to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Linguistics . I tried to make Firefox crash again the same way, but the second time, it didn't crash.

Actual results:

The browser crashed. The crash report is at https://crash-stats.mozilla.com/report/index/b9e37e05-a8fb-45a0-8e5b-1db3c2120220

Expected results:

The browser shouldn't have crashed.

It seems to be caused by the IcedTea plugin.
It's a low volume crash with only 13 crash reports in 10.0.x over the last week and one in 12.0a2.
Are you able to determine reliable steps to reproduce?
If yes, does it happen with the latest Nightly you can download from http://nightly.mozilla.org/?

No. I've tried twice to reproduce it, and the only reproducible part is when Firefox hangs on the hms.edu page, but that's a different issue.

If accurate, then I think this is a duplicate
