Some work on the buttons/toggle is going to take a bit of time (bug 725192) An immediate and easy-to-deploy improvement to both pages: http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/mobile/beta/ http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/mobile/aurora/ would be to add the word "Mobile" or "Android" to the headlines: Firefox Beta for Mobile Firefox Aurora for Mobile (note: the original wireframes included this as recommended headline copy, not sure why it was removed - is there a reason we wouldn't include it? for reference it's how we position GA for mobile http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/mobile/)

Agree that this will help. Let's get this to Dev soon to help quell this user confusion. Since this is just tweaks to the HTML hopefully it can be done soon.

A bit of a design question on this. The "Firefox Beta" and "Firefox Aurora" headlines on this pages are the proper wordmarks for the products using the Meta font family. It's probably worth having someone from the design team work out how to append that text to the wordmark.
Steven, since everyone is super slammed right now, I don't know that this should be a blocker. Could you do something outside of the wordmark directly on the line below? Similar to http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/mobile/

Yeah, that's a good point. I'm not sure we really want to add another word to the wordmarks, though...generally we try to keep those from getting too cluttered. Perhaps another design solution would be to add those words in a different place on the page that would still convey the concept. (Sort of like what we have now, I guess, but more clear to the user.)

Could we not rework the subhead copy below the wordmarks to inject that they are Android/mobile specific?

(In reply to Sean Martell from comment #5) > Could we not rework the subhead copy below the wordmarks to inject that they > are Android/mobile specific? I like this idea. This is a P1, but still waiting on this decision to be finalized.

This simple fast tweak no longer seems so simple. Sean's idea in Comment 5 is a good one, but I'm afraid it won't be too noticeable. We need a really noticeable solution. As a reminder, this was originally meant to help the confusion with the toggle switch which is being worked on in Bug 725192. Since this isn't a easy solution let's focus on improving the original toggle bug.
