Steps to reproduce:

I'd like to purge my Inbox and perhaps other folders, deleting or filing messages that I've already read. Tbird allows displaying only Unread messages, but there's no easy way to display only Read messages.



Expected results:

Add a button nest to Unread to show only messages already read.
View | Messages | Customize... and create a "status is read" view.
Status: UNCONFIRMED → RESOLVED
Closed: 12 years ago
Resolution: --- → INVALID
The Mozilla site said this was the way to submit ideas, rather than just bugs. Sorry if I misread.
Yes that is correct, and thank you for the suggestion. However, the functionality already exists in a way. I'd suggest to create an extension for the button part.
