Program would not exit, did an update to latest version and all of my bookmarks are gone....some that I will never remember!

Steps to reproduce:

Had continual problems with Firefox quitting in Mac OS 10.5.8, had to use the Force Quit feature of the OS everytime.

Did several restarts with same result, did an update to the latest version and it not only got worse, it also deleted all of my bookmarks (some links I may never recover as they were essential to my classes but used only once a year or so).


Actual results:

Gave up on the program and deleted it from my system!


Expected results:

The update should have recovered my bookmarks and resolved any quitting issue.

Fixed, all I had to do was go back to a clean install of version 9 and everything works fine.  

10.0.2 has issues, at least with our systems.
