my email to dcops@: All hosts are moving to the community network. Physical placement is, of course, up to you. Unless noted otherwise, all of these are sjc1 -> scl3 moves. Bug 730054 is for the new racks in scl1; if they're not ready yet, then we can squeeze these minis into the empty slots in the existing racks, although obviously that's no fun for any of us.. Bugzilla - bug 719715: https://inventory.mozilla.org/systems/show/1730/ https://inventory.mozilla.org/systems/show/1731/ These are iX systems and should be cabled to both the OOB network and the community VLAN. Camino - Bug 720560: https://inventory.mozilla.org/systems/show/121/ https://inventory.mozilla.org/systems/show/1288/ These are XServes, and to my knowledge do not have OOB. They should be cabled to the community VLAN. Camino **sjc1 -> scl1**: https://inventory.mozilla.org/systems/show/376/ https://inventory.mozilla.org/systems/show/5266/ These should be cabled to the community VLAN in scl1. Matt or someone else from relops will crash-cart them. Hooray minis! Seamonkey - bug 721516: https://inventory.mozilla.org/systems/show/2230/ - sea-win32-01 https://inventory.mozilla.org/systems/show/2391/ - sea-win32-02 https://inventory.mozilla.org/systems/show/2236/ - sea-win32-03 https://inventory.mozilla.org/systems/show/2289/ - sea-win32-04 These are iX systems and should be cabled to both the OOB network and the community VLAN. Seamonkey **sjc1 -> scl1**: https://inventory.mozilla.org/systems/show/1642/ - cb-sea-miniosx01 https://inventory.mozilla.org/systems/show/1632/ - cb-sea-miniosx02 https://inventory.mozilla.org/systems/show/4912/ - cb-sea-miniosx64-01 https://inventory.mozilla.org/systems/show/4913/ - cb-sea-miniosx64-02 https://inventory.mozilla.org/systems/show/1635/ - cb-sea-miniosx64-03 See notes for Camino minis, above. Can I ask for an explicit either 1 week downtime set for this migration date/plan (incl rough timeline) or at least a 24 hour notice if pinged in IRC? If thats impossible I understand, I just don't want to have these machines go down and surprise me at a point I need them :-)
(In reply to Justin Wood (:Callek) from comment #1) > If thats impossible I understand, I just don't want to have these machines > go down and surprise me at a point I need them :-) I said roughly the same thing in bug 720560 comment 3 :-) If anything's going to change in the way I connect to them, too (I'm hoping it might be as simple as just a different jumphost name), I'd appreciate knowing that right before the move, too.

Sadly, we don't have space/power yet in scl1, so we won't be moving the old (r2/r3) minis. The updated list of hosts that are moving is: Bugzilla - bug 719715: https://inventory.mozilla.org/systems/show/1730/ https://inventory.mozilla.org/systems/show/1731/ These are iX systems and should be cabled to both the OOB network and the community VLAN. Camino - Bug 720560: https://inventory.mozilla.org/systems/show/121/ https://inventory.mozilla.org/systems/show/1288/ These are XServes, and to my knowledge do not have OOB. They should be cabled to the community VLAN.
