This could help with fuzzing errors in this code.  Jesse, what is the easiest way for you to control this, an environment variable or a pref or something else?
I think a function call or pref would be best. I'll want to change it while the process is running, right?
Each forget skippable should be fairly independent event, so I don't know if it will matter.  But maybe.
