Details
(Whiteboard: [closing compose window can cause app to exit in some situations is Bug 738907])
User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Ubuntu; Linux x86_64; rv:11.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/11.0 Build ID: 20120310194926 Steps to reproduce: Search for something from within the Google toolbar. Try searching for text withing the results page, by either typing or using the '/' (search for text) shortcut. Actual results: Instead of the usual behavior, the typed input (or the '/' char) is taken as query input for the Google (in page) search form/box. In other words, the text typed is redirected to the form as if typed directly into the form. Expected results: Matching strings should have been highlighted as usual.

It looks like Google sets the focus / moves the caret to its input field, so any character entered goes there. "/" is just a character that can be typed into any text field. I guess the only solution is to use Ctrl+f.
