Capturing this comment from Ben Adida on the Data Safety Review:

I'm a "go" contingent on having at least some notice to non-labs members that they get no value from registering at this time... or adding a small bit of value to their registration, e.g. signing up to an update list by virtue of logging in. Otherwise we're collecting data for no user benefit.

Ben: what if the "Sign-in" link at the bottom was replaced with 

  Sign-in (for project members)

would that satisfy the requirement to avoid value-less account creation?

Yes, that would satisfy me. I just don't want users to sign in thinking they get a benefit and then find out they don't.
