Security enhancements on MAR files are currently disabled because x64 MARs are not being signed at the moment by RelEng.  This task is to re-enable the security checks once x64 MARs are signed and we have the service working on x64.

Is this still the case? Do you know other types of MARs that are not being signed at the moment?

I believe signing is still disabled on win64. Other platforms should have signing of MAR files enabled.

The patch I did in bug 974570 enables MAR signing on all MAR files on all platforms. So this should be fine to re-enable now. I'll double check that MAR files specifically on x64 are being signed. (Building now).

Cancelling review until the x64 signature issue gets fixed

This fix is contained as part of the patch in bug 715876.
