Reproduction: 1. Configure a new IRC account, with IRC hostname "www.doesnotexist.invalid" 2. Finish wizard, including "Connect now" Actual result: "Your chat accounts are not connected" (completely unhelpful - should I press something? Should I wait? What happens?) After clicking on "Show chat status", you see: "Error: Lost connection to server". That's not only completely useless, but simply wrong. There is no server www.doesnotexist.invalid, you can't have had a connection to it, and thus can't have lost it. Expected result: * www.doesnotexist.invalid -> "Server not found (DNS resolve failed). Please check the hostname in preferences." * www.mozilla.org -> "Server does not seem to be an IRC server." * irc.freenode.org with wrong proxy (bug 741536) - > "HTTP/1.0 400 Bad Request" or "Server does not seem to be an IRC server."
