Hey there, 

We've just been given an opportunity to promote flicks (and the winners event) on some of the Cannes Film Festival social properties. Unfortunately, we need the copy asap (sorry!)

1) Facebook site: short & catchy write-up of max 50 words, maybe one logo, 2-3 lines including one link www.firefoxflicks.org

2) Email blast: the email will be sent to about 1000 people on the Short Film Corner mailing list; it has to be short & catchy, max 200 words. We can use logos, pictures and links there as well. 

Things we need convey:

Firefox Flicks contest open until May 1
Winners party at the festival on May 17, 9-12 p.m.

Do we need to be explicit? Join us where? Assume its online at the Flicks site? We will have a FlickR account for photos and will hopefully be live streaming through eye-fi. Just wondering if we need to give a little more context about how/when the announcement happens?

I wasn't sure if we wanted that kind of detail as they wanted the copy to be really short. Or if we want to add an RSVP...

Could we say:

oh sorry this is for the Cannes stuff, my confusion. I was thinking this was the Firefox & You email. In that case if this is for the Cannes email I like the first proposed copy but do think we need to add something that says if you'd like an invite to the party please send an email to: XXXX or something along those lines. I want a strong CTA to get people to get an invitation.
