Details

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.0; WOW64; rv:12.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/12.0
Build ID: 20120420145725

Steps to reproduce:

On three different Windows computers (laptop, desktop, and work desktop) I opened multiple tabs when browsing various websites, and then closed them by clicking the 'x', ctrl+w, or right click on the tab->close tab.

This has only been happening since the update to v12.

Actual results:

The tab either took a second or two to close, or came up with an error saying that there was a long running script - clicking stop or continue had the same result, the tab remained open and would not close.

Expected results:

The tab should have closed in a timely fashion, without any prompts about scripts.
Can you reproduce this in the Firefox safemode ?

Hello Jack,

I just found your 2 years old bug and want to ask you for a short feedback.
My feeling is that this is no more valid, but just to be sure it would be nice if you can confirm.
(or directly close this bug as WORKSFORME

if this is still valid with actual FF, please give us some detail steps to reproduce.

thanks for your help
