Please create a logo and wordmark for the Mozilla Brain Builders program as part of the Grow Mozilla visual system (see bug 713641 for reference).  

For background, this is the learning and development work that Dave Berz is doing that fits in to the overall Grow Mozilla plans.

Dave and I were discussing how this could fit in the visual system and thought perhaps there could be a red shield with a person with a mortar board on their head.  There are probably several other ways to approach this as well.

My concern is that we're starting to move away from a very simple system where new icons can be added easily by shifting a color or tapping into an icon-set.  Are all the logos going to have a person in them? 

What is the timing for this?

I'm certainly open to suggests about how to make use of the system that's been set up.  My take on the variations of the logos done so far was that we had settled on red being a consistent color and that people as an image was also a consistent and variations would involve different takes on the people.

Sure.  And I didn't meant to suggest that we should change the system.. just having a hard time visualizing how the one established would properly scale.  Especially if we need to use a person in all of them... which I feel might make things a little complex. it's not quite what I had in mind, but certainly doesn't mean it's the wrong approach.

Since Sean did the system he's really the best person to advise on what works here.  So, will let him comment.

Very simple approach to the Brain Builders logo. It uses the exact styling created for the Grow Mozilla branding.

cool!  is it worth getting rid of the latter and just having the cool dude and brain? simplifying so it feels a bit stronger ( my 2 cents ) otherwise,  I like :)
