Attached patch v1Splinter Review
This patch has been hanging around for ages. It doesn't actually add an exec command in Firefox (bug 874795 finishes off the last piece of that) but it does lay the groundwork for that, and it is used by bug 874821 which is what I'd really like to land.

The individual commits are in https://github.com/joewalker/gcli/pull/11 although most of them don't reach Firefox, so this patch is probably the best thing to look at.
