(Whiteboard: [10.8])

I have a VM running OS X 10.8 (12A178q) where I've installed Firefox Nightly as well the latest Flash 11.3 (beta).

When I go to youtube.com the videos do not load. The area where the videos should play appear blank. On Safari it works.

I'm setting up Mac OS 10.8 on hardware to make sure this isn't just a problem with this virtual setup.

Juan, how did you get FF to run on 10.8?

It's unsigned, so just double-clicking on it won't work.

There are several workarounds, of course. I just want to know which you used.
By the way, if you got FF from a dmg via sftp, that'd explain why it runs unsigned.

If you got FF from a dmg downloaded via sftp, that'd explain why it runs unsigned.
I used the System Preferences / Security & Privacy / "Allow applications downloaded from: Anywhere" setting.
Summary: Flash 11.3 doesn't load on Nightly on Mac OS 10.8 → [10.8] Flash 11.3 doesn't load on Nightly on Mac OS 10.8
Not terribly helpful, but this works for me (on real hardware).
I do see this problem on some sites with 10.8 on real hardware:

Broken:
* http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/
* YouTube videos
* Facebook videos
* soundcloud.com
* pitchfork.com
* translate.google.com
* dict.leo.org

Working:
* Vimeo videos
* nbc.com videos

At least on some of the broken sites I get a popup menu from Flash (11.2.202.235) that says "Movie not loaded".
Does Chrome have this problem with Flash sites?
Works fine with Chrome's internal Flash, just as well as with Safari.

Turns out that Flash also works fine with a new profile. It doesn't work in safe mode with my usual profile. No idea which pref might cause this. Any idea what might have broken this in the last days?

With a new profile on http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/ these 3 files get requested:
[00:18:41.053] GET http://www.adobe.com/swf/software/flash/about/flash_animation.swf [HTTP/1.1 200 OK 233ms]
[00:18:41.068] GET http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/so_redirect.swf [HTTP/1.1 200 OK 68ms]
[00:18:41.134] GET http://www.adobe.com/swf/software/flash/about/flashAbout_info_small.swf [HTTP/1.1 200 OK 60ms]

In safe-mode with my normal profile, they don't get requested. (Directly accessing http://www.adobe.com/swf/software/flash/about/flash_animation.swf shows a working flash animation, so the problem really is that the SWFs never get downloaded).
OK, got it. It was a corrupted pluginreg.dat. No idea how that happened, maybe by installing Oracle's Java Plugin preview (application/x-java-vm-npruntime showed up in all the wrong places on about:plugins).

That was a problem with trunk nightly builds for a couple of days. Bug 751641. Shouldn't happen again.
I downloaded the latest flash 11.3 beta on some new 10.8 hardware and I haven't had any issues being able to play any video content yet.
Resolved/Fixed by the patch for bug 751641?
Seems like this bug is WFM, according to comment 9 to 12.
