Details

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 5.1; rv:12.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/12.0
Build ID: 20120420145725

Steps to reproduce:

I'm now using v 12.0.01. Somewhere in the last few updates I have noticed when I select several messages it reverts my message pane to normal font size. Then once I have moved or whatever it is I'm doing to those multiple messages I have to click in the message pane again and press Ctrl+ several times to get it back to the larger font size I use.

Actual results:

Reverts message window to default font size

Expected results:

Large font size I have previously selected should be retained.

According to tests I made, changes to HTML messages are persistent but changes to text messages are not persistent.
I see what you mean. I didn't notice that before, likely because the majority of the messages which I select in blocks are HTML. I'll add one more thing. If two or more more HTML messages are selected, which causes the font size to go small and stay small, and the font size is not changed back, it will be small for all messages including non-HTML messages from then on.
You can modify the font styles here: Tools ➱ Options ➱ Display ➱ Formatting ➱ Advanced. You can untick the value of "use fixed width font for plain text messages" and see the effect.

selecting multiple messages provides a message list summary. And iirc it shows text in a specific font size - not necessarily what the sender nor what you picked in preferences.
