Sheppy, we need some more details on how this should work and/or if it's vital for the first release? Looking at https://bug665699.bugzilla.mozilla.org/attachment.cgi?id=547712 it seems the search mode is the most important and useful. That one is bug 673513

Search is the main thing, but you also need to be able to type in a URL or wiki path, so you can link offsite or to a page that hasn't been written yet.

The link popup from ckeditor already supports url linking. Closing this in favor of filing enhancement bug(s) on top of that.
