Build ID: 2001041104 Steps to Reproduce: (1) Go to http://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=75742 (2) Scroll to the bottom of the page (via any method) (3) Start selecting text and move the mouse upwards to drag-scroll the page. Result: nothing happens. Drag scrolling downwards is flaky as well, and often excruciatingly slow. This is a pretty recent regression, I think, and doesn't happen on all pages (mozilla.org works fine, for example).

I see this on Linux too, but actually you can scroll it if you haven't dragged the mouse cursor over the textarea for additional comments. This is true for both the upward and downward scroll. The textarea somehow blocks the ability of the page to scroll with selection.

Good catch. Kin, any thoughts?
This is a strange bug ... might be an event dispatch problem ... I can't get it to happen unless part of the textarea is visible on screen when I start the drag. If the textarea is completely offscreen, I can drag scroll over it in all directions. I'll take this bug off of mjudge's plate. Changing Platform/OS to all sine it's happening on at least Win32 and Linux.

Drag-scrolling is perfect for me in 2001090603 W98, even with text typed and a selection made in the textbox.
Yes, this is WORKSFORME on Linux 2001090608 too.
