The described behaviour is, indeed, what is currently implemented with MXR and, as the policy is to be a replacement for MXR, it makes sense to have that in DXR. I'm putting this bug as P3. Taras > please raise the priority if you think this issue need it.

I think the fix for this is pretty simple, we should prefill a path:/current/dir into the search box. I don't think it's a p1 at this point.
