On Apple iMac running 10.7.4, after conducting a search/install/browse the search box cannot be selected by clicking on the Search box. Field was clickable from the start page. But it becomes still without "Search" yeilding to the cursor. (I could not replicate on a Macbook Air, seems specific to iMacs)

https://github.com/mozilla/zamboni/commit/cfcad0a If you are using a Nightly version of Firefox, this is the correct behaviour. If you click on the "Search" input field, the "Search" placeholder text will not disappear but the field is active. If you look closely, you should be able to see the blinking text cursor in the field. This was a UX change made to Firefox (see bug 673873 for details). Unfortunately, we cannot change the colour of the text cursor. This has confused me too. So I've instead wrote a workaround in JS that makes placeholders behave the old way.

Search field works the way it ought to. Thanks for fixing it cvan. Note that this fix currently applied to only Search box and not other input fields.
