Overview: The grey dots that appear in the Read and Flag column do not 
automatically appear when Mail opens. Also, setting a message to be Read or 
Flagged the first time in a session does not work. Should these issues be in the 
same bug?

1.Read column: 
a. When I first open mail the green star appears for messages that are unread 
but the grey circle icons do not appear. After scrolling then they appear.
b. The First time I select this area to make the message unread I have to select 
this area several more times to see the green arrow. Then selecting additional 
messages for the green icon to appear work as expected.

2. Flag column: 
a. Flags appear for flagged messages but the grey circles do not automatically 
display. After scrolling then they appear. 
b. The First time I set a flag in a session I have to select this area several 
times before seeing the flag. Then setting a flag for other messages works as 
expected.

I see this on today's bits.  (the flag "dots" aren't there when mail comes up 
for my inbox.)

I don't think this a mail problem, but I don't know enough to find the rightful 
owner.

painting images on start up of the thread pane.

Probably an issue with how libpron sends notifications for cached imgs.

1b. Not a problem anymore. Selecting and deselcting the green diamond works as
expected.
2a. Still a problem
2b. Not a problem anymore. Selecting and deselcting the flag area works as expected.

Summary: The only existing problem is that the grey dots do not appear when Mail
opens. Scroll and they appear.
