Does the Lato font render correctly (in Firefox or in other applications) if you download it and install it locally?
I've installed it locally as you suggested and it seems it's not a problem of firefox, but now i don't know where to go, KDE? Gentoo? Well, sorry i'll think where to look for help. Thanks.
