Options>Tab Check whether "warn me when closing multiple tabs" is ticked? If not, tick it and try to reproduce issue. If still reproducible then might be some other issue.

Can you share all modified preferences and addon list from about:support?
Try in safe mode, if it works, so find the add-on that's culprit and isable it. If it doesn't work try a new profile.
I don't prefer to create a new profile (it's my personal laptop and creating a new profile is a tough one... i need to move all my docs to a new profile)... Tell me the cache folders location, i ll cleanup and try... Let me know if you don't have any clue.. I will uninstall firefox and go for a 'REAL GOOD' browser...

We are not asking you to create new profile permanently, just check whether you get warning dialog on multiple tab closure while using new profile, it will help us to confirm that issue is not with firefox but rather your current profile. Most probably this issues are triggered due to addons overriding user and profile preferences. I think you will sure cooperate with us.

You can run the test profile alongside your current profile. We just want to see if there is some settings overriding your current profile. http://kb.mozillazine.org/Creating_a_new_Firefox_profile_on_Windows But first thing to do is to run in safe mode so we know for sure it's not one of the add-ons causing the problem.

same problem in safe mode and in other profiles... But when i tried in 3.x version, I am getting the warning.. But when i tried in 13.x or 14.x, I am not getting it... Looks like i need to have a fresh install with a proper cleanup... let me know how to completely remove the browser & browser cache from the system... FYI.. I am having windows Vista...

Hi Mr.MooR, sorry for the late answer. If you still have issues, Firefox can be uninstall from Control Panel / Programs and Features. Still, your issue is probably gone in the latest Firefox 24 version. :)
