When I'm debugging stuff in my environment, every missed semicolon sends an error email. This is not really helpful, and fills the puppet-errors folder with useless information. We should stop doing that. I'm not interested in this, but if it's useful, I think we could arrange to send the emails directly to the environment owner, instead.

+1. The owner will see the the errors on the client anyways as they are debugging so I don't see a need to email them.

+1 also. I know that you can see the error in real time when you run the noop test but it would be nice to go back and see your history via email spam. I use filters in zimbra to file and rotate out error emails.

My hope had been that I could add report = to the environment stanza in puppet.conf. This seems not to work, and http://docs.puppetlabs.com/guides/environment.html suggests why - that parameter isn't one of the four that are subject to environments.. So, I don't think we can do this, sadly. We'll just have to survive the email :(
