I installed Firefox Beta just now (first time) (Firefox 14) on my Droid X running Android 2.3.3

The first page I went to was nextbus.com. I got a firefox prompt asking if I wanted to let the site store local data which I accepted. I also got 5 to 7 requests to allow location sharing which I accepted all of them.

At this point I'm on the nextbus page and it's blinking about 4 times per second with a message :

Got old GPS location so trying again (age was 220 min). That age time continues increasing each minute.

I've had Firefox (not beta) installed on my phone for the past few weeks and have been using nextbus.

My about:buildconfig points to :

Looks like this has been going on for a while? See comment : https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=706865#c4

Still an issue with nightly builds of 18; it seems like if we can't get a GPS fix we're giving an old GPS fix instead of using a more current less accurate wifi/cell tower position or something?

do you know what the options were to the geolocation request? (A page can request what sort of ages are acceptable, and if the GPS hw should be spun up).
I don't, but I shall look into it!
Much has changed in this code. I am marking WFM. Feel free to open if you continue to see this.
