Details

Steps:
1. I installed fedora16 and with firefox13 in it.
2. I installed jdk1.7.0_05, and do right link to firefox plugin path.
(can verify it success through "about:plugins" and "add on menu -> plugins" and "www.java.com jre verify")
3. When I runing java applet with default config, it can work well.
4. But if I config that "jre/bin/ControlPane -> Advanced -> Java console -> Show console". Expect:
Applet can run, and auto show java console.
Actually:
The applet cant run anymore. Java console cant show. If I change the option to "Hide console" like before, it can run well.

Others:
1. I use another fedora16 live cd version, and it takes firefox7, I installed jdk1.7.0_05, no any issue. If I update firefox to 13v, this issue happens.
2. I use fedora16, with firefox13, and I installed jdk1.6, no this issue.
3. I use fedora17 with firefox12, installed jdk1.7, still have this issue.

So I guess if jdk1.7 enable the show console option + firefox13(or 12), always can't start applet.
WFM on Ubuntu. Unfortunately, I don't have access to Fedora 16.

Can you still reproduce this issue with current Firefox and java builds?
