Currently queryhelp.cgi contains numerous references to the bugzilla.mozilla.org
installation. I don't think we should release it as is.

Suggestions for what we should do.

1. Drop it from 2.12.
2. Leave it as is, but release note that admins should change it.
3. Leave it as is, but provide an option to turn it off, and leave it off by
default.
4. Both 2 & 3.
5. Leave it as is, provide an option to specify the URL of the page, or leave
it blank for none.
6. Strip all b.m.o references, expect mozilla.org to hack it each version.
7. Strip all b.m.o references, provide an option to specify the URL of the
page, so mozilla.org can have a new address for theirs.

Not that the query help refers to the bug writing guidelines, but it doesn't
link the the bug writing guidelines shipped with Bugzilla which are stripped of
b.m.o references.
Target Milestone: --- → Bugzilla 2.12
I think the current version, post Tara's patch, is pretty generic. However,
given that it now says at the top:
"This was written for the new query page that will probably be added in a
version later than Bugzilla 2.12..."
would it not be more sensible to turn it off for this release, and relnote its
existence?

A few more ideas:

- Do we need links to Edit Products/Keywords/Components? Those are high-powered
admin functions.

- Grep for "Mozilla". Does that sentence make any sense?

- We should move Boolean Charts to the bottom and mark it "Strictly Optional"
:-)

- Why Use This should be near the top, as should Sample Query.

Gerv
the comment about "an upcoming query page that isn't there yet" needs to be
removed. the CURRENT query.cgi on b.m.o already links to it (see the "give me a
clue" link, as well as a number of the field headings).
I went ahead and took out the reference to the "new" query page (haven't checked
it in yet--look on landfill). Anything else *really* pressing?
"Good enough for government work" Further updates to queryhelp.cgi will likely
come over the next release or so as we update the query page itself.

It should display status/resolution/platform/opsys/priority/severity from the
actual bugzilla installation -- seems to currently show mozilla defaults.
