To reproduce: 1. Install the patch from bug 749397 (attached for convenience) and build Fx. 2. Install ccdump from https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/cycle-collector-analyzer/ 3. Open the net monitor 4. Close the net monitor 5. Go to about:ccdump 6. Click the "Run CC Analysis" button and wait a while for results to come back 7. Click the search dropdown 8. Select "Find Zombie HTTP Elements" You will see that the httpMonitor window, httpMonitorConnectionMenu button and httpMonitorTabListMenu have been leaked.
