Using the edit > copy & paste functions do not work and are or appear un-operable.

I prefer the one-click copy/paste method in linux, of which, neither works.

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Toolbar > Edit > Select (all)
2.Toolbar > Edit > Copy
3.Toolbar > Edit > Paste

Actual Results:  nothing

Expected Results:  copy paste text in browser or between other apps and console
areas of the o/s
updating component
