xpcdom builds at http://ozone.mcom.com/~jst/xpcdom.opt.tgz  sent out by 
jst on "Mon, 23 Apr 2001" crash with applets on Linux.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE:
1] launch mozill on Linux.
2] load page at 'http://bubblegum/desale/applets/banner.html' [Its a very simple 
banner applet]
3] BOOM Crash.

EXPECTED RESULTS:
banner.html should showup with simple applet with yellow background' & some 
scrolling text.

ACTUAL RESULTS:
mozilla crashes.
Updating severity to critical
Severity: normal → critical
