Steps to reproduce:

14.0.1 installed this morning on three different Windows PCs.


Actual results:

In 14.0.1 the favicons appeared in 13.0.1 (and all earlier version) are now a generic "soccer ball" icons.
Additionally, every website now displays "This website does not supply identity information.". 


Expected results:

Favicons should continue to appear and security information, for those websites which provide it, should still be available.
See attached files for the Before (13.0.1) and After (14.0.1) for Firefox, Google and Twitter homepages..

This is/was an intentional change.  Favicons in the URL bar and on tabs was redundant thus removed.

Thank You for quick answer.
This was not explained in list of changes.
I guess, then, we Firefox users who do not use Tabs are now to be without faviccns.
Is there an "about:config" fix for us who do not use Tabs but still want favicons?

To remove favicons from the address bar and, with them, all security information may well fulfill a design aesthetic but it also now leaves all Firefox users who do not use tabs at distinct disadvantages.
For now, we teachers have decided to revert to 13.0.1 and we have instructed our students to not upgrade to 14.0.1.
It is better to have an older version of Firefox than one which excludes our ability to get safety and security information as we have always previously been able to do.
Perhaps in the future you will reconsider your removal of favicons and security information for Firefox users who do not use tabs.
We, of course, still love Firefox for all of the reasons everyone should. But this change, we think, was a step backward, not forward.
