Any deets?
I know this is a very short timeline. We will hit 3B downloads of add-ons next week. We will be announcing this on Thurs and be doing some press outreach as part of the desktop tiger team campaign.

I know the timing is tight, but is it possible to get a press graphic developed in the next couple of days? We'd like to share it w/global agencies to localize it and distribute on Thurs. For this to be possible, we'd need something final Monday/early Tues. I am also looking into outsourcing this in case the internal team can't do this in time.

I'd love to use the add-ons fox that looks like inspector gadget or swiss army knife w/all the tools for this.

I'd also like to add some 3B references like we did on FF4 24 hr download graphic. My ideas:
3B is:
- almost half the world population
- more than people on the internet today

Fligtar is pulling some key stats to share tonight so please let me know if this is a request your team can complete.
Thanks Erica. The sooner we get the data the better. If you can get the data to me tonight as planned, I have a few folks who might be able to help. This all depends on the data of course. But thoughts include:

* Keeping it relatively simple and leaning on the fox character you mentioned + stylized blocks of color, etc to jazz up the numbers but nothing more.
* Leaning towards the Firefox 2011 graphic Lee had done before which wasn't easy to produce but we may be able to take the source file and use it as a springboard to create something unique without starting from scratch.

Question:
* Does this need to be localized? If localization is a requirement and timing is tight, we may need to make it super simple so you hit your deadline.
* What is the drop dead deadline?
* Is this meant for the mozilla blog? should we design according to those specs?
* any other considerations / requirements you want to share with me?

I'll let you know tomorrow AM if we can take this on to meet your deadline.
Lots of details and data:

- Would love to keep it simple and do anything possible to make this happen
- We would like it localized - we would need it by EOD Monday if possible for that to happen. We're trying to line up resources so we could localize if we had it by EOD Tues too.
- This would be for the Moz blog so we would need it to be for Web use only
- I'm available today to talk through any ideas or questions if we can make this work
- Here is the data I have:

- More than 85% of Firefox users have add-ons installed
- People with add-ons installed have an average of five add-ons
(the number is 4.7- but I think rounding up is ok for an average)

- Most popular categories include privacy & security, search tools, bookmarks and themes

- 150,000 user-created collections
- 25,000 developers associated with add-ons on AMO
- Most popular add-ons include AdBlock Plus, Firebug, NoScript, Personas Plus, Video DownloadHelper
- Firefox was the first browser to introduce add-ons - for computers and phones.

3B is:
- almost half the world population
- more than people on the internet today

These numbers don't include personas- so it would be nice to add something like: Firefox also has unlimited ways to customize your look or theme.

It would also be nice to add something brief like:
Firefox Add-ons enable you to customize the features, functionality and look of your Web experience. Firefox answers to no one but you.

These things are extras I will put in the blog if we needed to fill space:
- In 2004 the first version of AMO, then called UMO or Mozilla Update
- 1 billion downloads in Nov. 2008, 2 billion downloads in July, 2010, 3 billion downloads in July 2012
- In 2009, Collections, Recommendations and even mobile add-ons were introduced.
Hi again.

Erica, I literally was about to write a "sorry we can't do it the timing is impossible" response, when Ty swooped in and said that he can do it. That said:

* Timing is still really tight.
* However simple of an approach we take, it's not a quick project... infographics never are.
* Ty is going to shoot for early Tuesday, but likely to be EOD Tuesday. He'll do his best.
* The infographic will likely be mostly text, not a ton of illustrations or styling given the time... but it'll be prettier than nothing :) and Ty will do his best given the time he has.

Please be extra nice to him this week! Thank you Ty... you rock.

I have no doubt that Ty will rock this like a hurricane.
or more appropriately a TYphoon (the good kind)
Ty - You are a rockstar! I can't express how much we love and admire you for helping with this request on the tight timing. You will, once again, save us and make our work more awesome. I think this infographic will double our press coverage. I know the timing is tight and requires a lot of hard work, so please call me if you want to chat or have any questions.

Thank you!
EJ
Hi Ty - I just wanted to follow up to see when we can expect a draft since I know the timing is so tight. Let me know if you have any questions.
Hey Erica,

Im still working on it and looking to share something in an hour or so.
That's great- thanks for the update!

Ty - this looks awesome! I'm really impressed w/the tight timing and really appreciate your help. I'm getting final approval now to see if there are any changes, but THANK YOU!

We need open files as eps or for illustrator so the designer can localize for us.

We will also need a PDF to upload to the Mozilla blog.
This looks fantastic, thanks Ty!
Two minor edits from me. I'm double checking w/Fligtar if he has any edits.

1) If possible, can we move the "did you know" line to the bottom (since it's just about themes) and remove the last two words "or theme" so it just says "Did you know that Firefox also has unlimited ways to customize your look?

2) Can we say "more than 25,000 developers with add-ons on AMO" and remove the word "associated"

We will need open files as eps or for illustrator so the designer can localize for us.

We will also need a PDF to upload to the Mozilla blog.

Other than that, I can't thank you enough for making something so pretty and so fast.
Just a minor edit--in the Most Popular section (on the bottom), "Persona Plus" should read "Personas Plus" (plural). Thanks!
From Fligtar:
Looks good. I would say "customize your look" is awkward without something like "Firefox's look" in there.

I also wonder if we should have a call to action to go to addons.mozilla.org to join in.

Ty - you are a rockstar! Thank you!

Global PR team - Ty added the final EN PDF here as well as editable formats and fonts for localization
FYI: Ty rocked this bug (thank you!)
TYphoon FTW!
Can any one give me .svg format file? We want to localize it in our native language.
Here is an editable SVG file
Thank you Ty Flanagan.
