User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 5.1; rv:14.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/14.0.1 Build ID: 20120713134347 Steps to reproduce: Open the http://qt.nokia.com/downloads/windows-cpp web page. It tries to automatically download the file. I clicked to cancel button. Actual results: Firefox freezed for minutes. Tried again with restarted computer. Expected results: Simply cancel to download.
It seems that need to start the browsing from this site: http://qt.nokia.com/downloads/ and click on this link: "Qt libraries 4.8.2 for Windows (minGW 4.4, 318 MB)"
I tried to cancel the download, no freeze. Try with a new profile, please. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/Managing-profiles

Hi, I have tried to test this using the latest Firefox release(43.0.4), but the links provided no longer work. Can you please put up a different website where this issue is reproducible? Build ID 20160105164030 User Agent Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 5.1; rv:43.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/43.0 Also could you please try to reproduce this on the latest release(43.0.4) and/or the latest Nightly (https://nightly.mozilla.org/) and provide the results? When doing this, please try to reproduce with a new clean Firefox profile, maybe even in safe mode, as some of this issues may be caused by third party installed add-ons or custom settings(https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/troubleshoot-and-diagnose-firefox-problems). Thanks, Cipri
