Here's the reftest log.

The difference is as follows:
In the leftmost "abc" on the second line, the kerning between "a" and "b" is slightly different between testcase vs. reference.  Testcase has more space between that "a" and "b" character.

I'm chalking this up to some randomness in the (WinXP-specific?) font code somewhere and ignoring it for now. If it happens again, then it might merit further investigation / working-around.
